5) Strive to safeguard the integrity of creation; sustain and renew life on earth

In Genesis we see a picture of humanity, called by God to the ultimate task – to co-rule the world alongside God; to take care of it, nurture it and seek it’s flourishing. We have plundered and exploited our planet and all that lives within it for far too long. What would it look like for us here in Milton Keynes to grasp hold of our ancient mandate to care for, and renew all life on earth? This is a long-neglected part of our call to be a blessing as Christians, but might the time now be ripe for turning our attention not just to our fellow humans, but to the world and the creation around us that we are called to tend and steward?
